THE SOUND OF SNOW Finnish Snowmusic must have arisen from the only sounds heard in a lone forest, when people walked on snowy, long-winding paths towards an uncertain evening. Many of the traditional songs and rhythms have gone lost. Some of them, though, could be preserved and are for the first time to be heard on this album. Others have undergone a fierce process of renovation, using the means of the virtual age to confront " the traditionals" with the challenge of digital sampling.
Based on recordings in Finnland. Field recordings collected by Sisukas Poronainen. Rearrangements: Different fabulous artists.
