Review of the Darklife Magazine spring 2004:
A one-man project from Mannheim (D), navigating with Attitude between power electronics, dark ambient, martial tunes and ambient noises. It’ crazy stuff, guys, it’s both experimental and crazy. It isn’t experimental in a arty kind of way, it rather feels "spontaneously" experimental, as if Tobias B., the man in charge, lives by this craziness. It’s raw stuff. Maybe too raw, but I guess this belongs to the project’s attitude. That’s fine, but some of the cutting edge frequencies loose a bit of impact on the lo-fi. I really like the more apocalyptic stuff such as in Time to Choose or the minimal bits of Steckrübenwinter turning to hypnotic noise and the power electronic elements which suit well the lo-fi concept. Lots of ideas are thrown in this demo and I guess that future works would benefit of from a lesser degree of anarchy.
